Kiwanis Foundation of Topsail Island Area
The Kiwanis Club of Topsail Island Area, continuing its long standing commitment to the young people of Onslow and Pender Counties, awarded Key Club Scholarships to graduating seniors at Dixon High School and Topsail High School. These scholarship awards recognize academic achievement and service. Awards are available for students planning to attend a 4-year degree program as well as those looking to attend the local community college and focus on a trade. Funding for these scholarships comes from fund-raising activities conducted throughout the year by the Topsail Kiwanis Club, the Kiwanis Club of Topsail Island Area and the Kiwanis Foundation of Topsail Island Area working jointly to award these scholarships.
In addition to the Key Club Scholarships, our Foundation also provides funds for a Legacy Scholarship, which is awarded to a relative of a current member and meets the requirements.
Kiwanis members support the Foundation through volunteering for fund raising events, and through donations reflecting their birthday and their anniversary. Birthday and anniversary donations are generally $1 dollar for each birthday or anniversary year.
Non-members who want to support the fundraising activities and goals of our Club (Kids Need Kiwanis) are welcome to donate to the Foundation as well.
