Kay’s Kids – One-Child-At-A-Time Program

This program is named in memory of club member Boyce Kay who always looked to fill the needs he saw in our community. Funds are provided to school counselors, social workers and administrators ho identify individual student needs. These needs have included shoes for basketball, a new coat, clothing, prom tickets, school fees for arts and music, field trip fees, and many other expenses that help students participate fully and succeed in their school experience.

Club Gets Involved

Each year the Foundation provides $5,000 to the Club to fulfill the individual needs of students, as identified by school counselors and social workers. Once a student need has been identified, Kiwanis Club steps in to provide the needed item.

Please contribute to Kiwanis with your donation so that we can continue this program for ‘One Child at a Time.’

Kiwanis Service Projects

Service is at the heart of every Kiwanis club, no matter where in the world it’s located. Members stage approximately 150,000 service projects and raise nearly US $100 million every year for communities, families and projects. By working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone.

Our Kiwanis club focuses on changing the world by serving children, one child in our community at a time. To reach more people and have a greater service impact on their communities, many clubs sponsor a Kiwanis family club — K-Kids for primary school children; Builders Clubs for adolescents; Key Clubs for teens; Circle K clubs for university students and Aktion Clubs for adults living with disabilities.

Our members come from communities on Topsail Island, NC, and the surrounding area. Our Kiwanis club fulfills the Kiwanis mission by serving our community through Kiwanis Community Service Projects.
