Fighting Hunger in The Greater Topsail Community

Free Community Meals

Share the Table’s mission is to respond to God’s call to nourish our community by providing food where there is hunger, fellowship where there is loneliness, and education to end the cycle of food insecurity.

Share the Table, Inc. is a faith-based nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization supported by seven charter churches, community churches, civic organizations, and local businesses in Pender and Onslow Counties in North Carolina. Through our free community meals, food pantry, and school backpack program, we feed over 1,000 Pender and Onslow County residents per week.

Since our inception in October 2010, we have seen a dramatic increase in the number of people served by this ministry. We experienced a 57% increase in food distribution from 2019 to 2020. In 2024 we are up to 140 meals prepared each time we gather to support our community. For more information, please contact us.

Kiwanis Service Projects

Service is at the heart of every Kiwanis club, no matter where in the world it’s located. Members stage approximately 150,000 service projects and raise nearly US $100 million every year for communities, families and projects. By working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone.

Our Kiwanis club focuses on changing the world by serving children, one child in our community at a time. To reach more people and have a greater service impact on their communities, many clubs sponsor a Kiwanis family club — K-Kids for primary school children; Builders Clubs for adolescents; Key Clubs for teens; Circle K clubs for university students and Aktion Clubs for adults living with disabilities.

Our members come from communities on Topsail Island, NC, and the surrounding area. Our Kiwanis club fulfills the Kiwanis mission by serving our community through Kiwanis Community Service Projects.
